Tax refund!

I've just done my income taxes. I'm not going to complete it just yet, as I think I still need a couple more receipts, but I'm really pleased that so far it looks like I'm getting another refund this year - $1,035! That will definitely help with dropping the debt and boosting the savings. Gotta love the Northern Resident Allowance! :)

ND Chic - The Northern Resident Allowance is what you can claim if you live north of a certain latitude. I live North of 60, so I can claim $8.25 per day for every day that I live here (and maintain my own dwelling). It's not actually refundable, but is a non-taxable credit that you apply. It's to help offset the costs of living in more isolated communities. It's also called the Northern Living Allowance... ;)
