Heeeeere's Joey!

He is a very sweet natured boy, but needs to know his food bowl is available (& full) at all times. He obviously gets nervous when he can't find it. Bylaw and Dinah are less than pleased with this whole situation (they have both vomited twice!), but I really am hoping things will settle down over the next couple of days. It will take some getting used to, as he's quite a presence and has already made himself at home. He just loves everyone so much; he starts purring the instant you touch him. Apart from being hugely overweight, he was well taken care of and obviously quite loved at his previous home.

Joey can actually jump onto the sofa, which is a good thing, because I wasn't sure he'd even be able to do that. I have to lift him into the cat tree, so was happy that I won't be spending all my time trying to get him onto or into everything (i.e. litter box).

Congratulations! He is gorgeous and looks perfectly at home already.

Hope you had a super duper birthday celebration. The cake looks so amazing and probably tasted even better!

He's really, really cute! Hope the other 2 kitties get along with him better soon...

I worked in an office with a 24 lbs cat... he was a BIG baby... needed to be held or cuddled often and he drooled lots (cute!). Too bad the extra weight is so bad for their health :-(

@ Middle Way - he's so comfortable here, he's spending the nights on the bed with me all ready! And the cake was divine...!!

@FD - It's taken all of a day and he thinks he's living here or something :)

@CS - Today they seem more relaxed and comfortable around him. Bylaw is still kind of stressed out, but Dinah is feeling much better. Joey really is quite a guy...

umm. don't take this the wrong way... but Joey kinda... reminds me of Garfield. Or the Cheshire Cat from the new Tim Burton's Alice movie. o__o;
