It's already been deposited!! That took, what? 2 or 3 days? Absolutely fantastic.
If anyone's wondering, I chose this one: TransferWise. Brilliant. Part of the reason I chose it is because Sir Richard Branson (he of the Virgin empire) has invested in it. I like Sir Richard - although I can't honestly say I know much about him or why exactly I have this "I
I will be using it from now on. For what I need it for, it's perfect - simply transferring money from one account to another as and when/if needed for very little cost. Once you're set up, you just need to transfer money to them and they take care of the rest.
I now have enough money to pay down some nagging numbers for about 3-6 months, depending on how hard I want to hit the debt. I'd like to hit it harder than is realistic at this point, to be honest, but this will take a huge weight off my shoulders and that's something in itself.

what kinds of fees were attached to the wire transfer? I know when I send Ds money in the US, I am paying a fee up here, and after looking at his US account, I see he gets charged a fee when it arrives, as well.
Hi Jolie! It's brilliant - I paid £3.23 to send £625 to Canada. It works out to about 0.5% fee. The best thing to do is go to the site and input the details - it will give you the (current) exchange rate as well as what your fee will be. DS won't pay a penny in bank fees and nor will you! xx
Glad you got that figured out! I think Sir Richard knows what he's doing! :)
